Ambitious and beautiful archeologist, Megan Eastwood, embarks on an excavation in the Grand Canyon with her mentor, Dr. Jensen Reinhardt, along with thirteen college students. An ancient map leads them to believe Egyptian artifacts are buried in a remote section of the canyon. What they unearth there instead is far more enigmatic and shocking: four artifacts resemble something from another world. Forty-eight hours later Megan finds the students dead, Dr. Reinhardt missing, and the artifacts gone, as if they had never existed.
Even more bizarre, she finds herself hunted by the FBI for the murder of the archeology crew.
Clueless and confused, Megan enlists the help of Bruce Brackin, a photographer who's visiting the Grand Canyon for some R & R. They embark on a desperate hunt for Dr. Reinhardt and the missing artifacts, and soon find themselves caught up in a vortex of mystery and danger, illusion and betrayal.
